Citroen India will debut the Basalt coupe-SUV in H2 2024, setting a new standard for style and performance. The Basalt will be available in three distinctive variants: You, Plus, and Max, catering to every driving preference.
The Citroen Basalt will unveil a bold new look with a familiar fascia inspired by the C3 Aircross, featuring split LED headlamps, LED DRLs, a sleek sloping roofline, chunky wheel arches, silver faux plates, wrap-around LED taillights, black ORVMs, and striking new alloy wheels.
The Citroen Basalt will set a new benchmark with its revamped interiors, featuring fresh upholstery, dual digital displays, and enhanced materials. It will build on the C3 Aircross’s essentials with updated technology and comfort, including TPMS, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, push start/stop, a digital driver’s display, and tilt-adjustable steering.
The Citroen Basalt is poised to impress with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 110bhp and 190Nm of torque, paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission and an optional six-speed automatic at launch.
Upon its launch, the Citroen Basalt will compete head-to-head with the Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos, as well as top-spec variants of the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV 3OO.
