Gurugram, September 7, 2025 – Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has confirmed that it will pass on the complete benefit of the government’s recent GST rate cut on passenger vehicles to its customers. The revised prices will take effect from September 22, 2025, the date when the new tax rates officially come into force.
The move will make Hyundai cars more affordable across its lineup, with the biggest savings on the company’s flagship SUV, the Tucson, which now becomes cheaper by up to ₹2.40 lakh. Other popular models such as the Creta, Venue, Verna, and i20 will also see significant price drops ranging from ₹60,000 to over ₹1 lakh.
Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of HMIL, welcomed the government’s decision, calling it a “progressive reform that brings mobility within the reach of more Indians.” He added, “This tax reduction is not just a boost for the automotive sector but also a meaningful step towards empowering customers by making personal transport more accessible. Hyundai will continue to support India’s growth ambitions with cars that deliver value, innovation, and driving pleasure.”
Revised Price Benefits for Hyundai Models (Effective Sept 22, 2025):
The announcement comes just ahead of the festive season, when demand for new cars traditionally rises. Industry experts believe Hyundai’s move, along with similar decisions from other automakers, could provide a strong push for passenger vehicle sales in the coming months.
