Surat, July 27, 2025 – Marking a significant step in its India journey, VinFast Auto India, a subsidiary of global electric vehicle (EV) giant VinFast, has inaugurated its first showroom in Surat, Gujarat. The launch marks the brand’s official retail entry into India, underscoring its commitment to build a robust, customer-centric EV ecosystem in the country.
The newly opened ‘VinFast Surat’ showroom, promoted by Chandan Car—a prominent name in India’s automotive retail landscape—is strategically located in Piplod, Surat. Spread over 3,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art facility promises an immersive product experience, smooth purchase journeys, and comprehensive after-sales support.
The showroom will feature VinFast’s upcoming premium electric SUV offerings—VF 6 and VF 7—which are part of the company’s aggressive rollout strategy. VinFast aims to establish 35 dealerships in over 27 Indian cities by the end of 2025, laying the foundation for a widespread national presence.
The company commenced pre-bookings for VF 6 and VF 7 on July 15, 2025, via both its showrooms and official website (VinFastAuto.in). Customers can reserve their vehicles with a fully refundable booking amount of ₹21,000.
VinFast’s vehicles for India will be locally assembled at its upcoming manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This move not only strengthens the company’s “Make in India” commitment but also positions India as a potential future EV manufacturing hub for VinFast’s global ambitions.
Speaking at the Surat inauguration, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, said:

Mr. Chau also credited Chandan Car as a trusted partner helping to establish VinFast’s EV ecosystem, combining local retail expertise with the brand’s global technology and vision.
As part of its India strategy, VinFast has partnered with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to offer pan-India EV charging infrastructure and after-sales service support. Furthering its green agenda, the company has tied up with BatX Energies, an Indian clean-tech firm, to drive battery recycling and circular economy practices.
With this showroom launch, VinFast takes a major leap towards becoming a serious contender in India’s fast-growing EV market—offering premium electric SUVs, sustainable practices, and a localized service network.
