The all-new Enyaq, Skoda’s first electric SUV. Its striking styling, spacious interior, and high-quality materials are complemented by the latest technology. With cutting-edge connectivity, state-of-the-art driver-assistance systems, and exceptional comfort, the Enyaq is designed to excel in both city traffic and long-distance journeys.
The Skoda Enyaq is expected to be priced between ₹50.00 lakh and ₹55.00 lakh. This new SUV is anticipated to be launched in India in November 2024. The 2024 Enyaq promises to bring advanced features and cutting-edge technology to the Indian market.
The exterior of the Enyaq iV features a familiar Skoda design, including elements like the profile, wheel design, and tail lamp shape. What sets it apart is the new grille, which incorporates Skoda’s butterfly shape in an EV-specific design that will be used in future models. Measuring 4.6 meters in length with a 2.75-meter wheelbase, the Enyaq iV is comparable in size to the current-generation Skoda Octavia.
The electric crossover is available in five variants in the international market: 50, 60, 80, 80X, and vRS.
The car seen testing in India last year was the top-spec 80X version of the Enyaq, featuring a 77 kWh battery pack, dual motors, and an output of 265 bhp. It is anticipated that Skoda will offer multiple variants of the Enyaq when it launches in India, providing options to suit different preferences and needs.
The Skoda Enyaq boasts a range of premium features, including a 13-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, a digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display. It also comes with a two-spoke steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and a powered driver’s seat with a massage function. Additional amenities include three-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a wireless charger, among other features.
The interiors of the Skoda Enyaq feature a minimalist design with a layered dashboard, dual digital screens, and Skoda’s new two-spoke steering wheel. The electric vehicle’s design has allowed Skoda to create a spacious cabin, enhancing its usability. Key highlights include the two digital screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Many interior elements, such as the buttons, steering wheel, dials, climate control interface, and seat design, will be familiar to Skoda enthusiasts. The India-spec model is expected to come with an all-black cabin accented by silver inserts, adding a touch of elegance.
The Skoda Enyaq is built on the MEB modular electric car platform developed by the Volkswagen Group. It offers three different battery pack options in the international market: 52 kWh, 58 kWh, and 77 kWh. The smaller battery packs are available only with rear-wheel drive (RWD), while the larger 77 kWh battery pack can be paired with both RWD and all-wheel drive (AWD). According to the WLTP cycle, the Enyaq can achieve a maximum range of approximately 500 km on a full charge.
Upon its arrival, the Skoda Enyaq will compete against several notable electric vehicles, including the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and BMW i4.
