New Delhi, September 8, 2025 – Kia India has announced that it will extend the entire benefit of the recently announced Goods and Services Tax (GST) reduction on passenger vehicles to its customers. The revised prices will take effect from September 22, 2025, across the company’s internal combustion engine (ICE) lineup.

The move follows the government’s decision to lower GST rates on cars, a step widely seen as a boost for the automotive sector. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said the reform would make vehicle ownership more affordable and stimulate demand, particularly ahead of the festive season.

“This reform will not only ease the cost burden on consumers but also simplify the taxation structure for the industry. By passing on the full benefit, Kia is reaffirming its commitment to accessibility and customer satisfaction,” Lee noted.

Kia has released a model-wise breakdown of the price reduction. The biggest cut is on the Carnival MPV, which will see prices lowered by up to ₹4.48 lakh. Other models such as the Sonet, Syros, Seltos, Carens, and Carens Clavis will also become cheaper, with reductions ranging between ₹48,000 and ₹1.86 lakh.

Revised Price Benefits (Effective Sept 22, 2025):

  • Sonet – up to ₹1,64,471
  • Syros – up to ₹1,86,003
  • Seltos – up to ₹75,372
  • Carens – up to ₹48,513
  • Carens Clavis – up to ₹78,674
  • Carnival – up to ₹4,48,542

Kia India, which began operations in 2019 from its Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh, has grown into one of the country’s leading mass-premium carmakers. The facility has an annual production capacity of 300,000 units and has already dispatched 1.5 million vehicles, including both domestic sales and exports.

With nine models in its portfolio, including SUVs, MPVs, and EVs, the brand has built a network of 744 touchpoints across 329 cities. Kia also leads in connected car technology, with over 4.5 lakh connected vehicles currently on Indian roads.
