Mumbai, September 6, 2025 – Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India’s largest SUV maker, has announced price reductions across its ICE SUV portfolio, effective September 6, 2025. The company confirmed it will pass on the entire benefit of the GST 2.0 reforms announced at the 56th GST Council meeting earlier this month.

The new policy rationalises GST rates on passenger vehicles, and Mahindra has adjusted its pricing accordingly, offering savings of up to ₹1.56 lakh depending on the model and variant.

Model-wise GST Benefits (Effective Sept 6, 2025):

  • Bolero / Bolero Neo – up to ₹1.27 lakh
  • XUV3XO (Petrol) – up to ₹1.40 lakh
  • XUV3XO (Diesel) – up to ₹1.56 lakh
  • Thar 2WD (Diesel) – up to ₹1.35 lakh
  • Thar 4WD (Diesel) – up to ₹1.01 lakh
  • Scorpio Classic – up to ₹1.01 lakh
  • Scorpio-N – up to ₹1.45 lakh
  • Thar Roxx – up to ₹1.33 lakh
  • XUV700 – up to ₹1.43 lakh

Mahindra SUVs have historically carried some of the highest GST + cess slabs, particularly larger models like the Scorpio-N, Thar Roxx, and XUV700, which previously attracted up to 48% in tax. Under GST 2.0, the revised tax structures — 18% for smaller models and 40% for larger SUVs — have enabled a substantial reduction in consumer prices.

The announcement comes ahead of the festive season, when SUV sales traditionally spike, and industry experts believe the timing could significantly boost demand.
