Tokyo, Japan, October 29, 2025 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has unveiled the world premiere of its next-generation electric SUV — the Honda 0 α (Alpha) — at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The all-new SUV marks a major addition to Honda’s futuristic Honda 0 Series, following the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV showcased earlier this year at CES 2025.
Positioned as a “gateway model” in the lineup, the Honda 0 α has been designed to seamlessly blend into both urban and natural settings. It aims to provide exceptional comfort and a premium cabin experience while maintaining a sleek and refined design language.
The SUV is built on Honda’s new “Thin, Light, and Wise” development philosophy, which emphasizes efficient design, lightweight construction, and smart technology integration. The production model is expected to go on sale globally — primarily in Japan and India — starting in 2027, with prices estimated around ₹20 lakh, putting it directly in competition with popular models like the Hyundai Creta.
The Honda 0 α features a low-slung yet spacious cabin achieved through a “Thin” packaging concept, ensuring comfort without sacrificing ground clearance — a key SUV trait. Its wide stance gives it a bold, stable look while emphasizing the dynamic character of an SUV.
A major highlight is its sleek exterior design — a hallmark of the Honda 0 Series — featuring integrated screen areas at both the front and rear. The front fascia merges the headlights, charging port, and illuminated Honda emblem into one unified digital surface. At the rear, a striking U-shaped light strip combines tail, backup, and turn signal lamps to create a futuristic visual signature.
With its modern design, innovative features, and global ambitions, the Honda 0 α is set to redefine the compact electric SUV space and could soon emerge as a strong rival to established models in the ₹20 lakh segment.
