Tata Motors has officially unveiled the design of the all-new Tata Sierra, reviving one of India’s most iconic SUVs in a modern, futuristic form. The 2025 Tata Sierra brings a bold exterior, lounge-style interior, triple-screen dashboard and both petrol and electric powertrains. Here is the full breakdown of the new Tata Sierra design reveal.
The new Tata Sierra retains its signature upright stance and boxy proportions, paying tribute to the classic Sierra from the 90s. Tata has blended retro cues with premium elements to create a rugged yet sophisticated SUV.
Key highlights of the exterior include:
• Split LED headlamps with a continuous LED light bar
• Gloss-black grille with an illuminated Tata logo
• Wide bumper with silver skid-plate styling
• Squared wheel arches with thick body cladding
• Dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels
• Floating roof design inspired by the original Alpine windows
• Full-width LED tail lamp at the rear
• Clamshell tailgate and muscular rear bumper
The overall design gives the 2025 Sierra a premium, futuristic appeal suitable for both city use and off-roading.

The interior of the Tata Sierra has been designed around a lounge-like, relaxing environment. Tata calls this the Life Space cabin philosophy.
The dashboard features a triple-screen setup, including:
• Digital instrument cluster
• Main infotainment system
• Dedicated passenger display
The cabin uses soft-touch materials, ambient lighting and a minimalistic layout to enhance its premium feel. Expected features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, 360-degree camera and electronic parking brake.
Tata is also expected to offer Level 2 ADAS safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking.
Tata will offer the new Sierra in both internal combustion and electric versions. Expected engine options include:
• 1.5-litre turbo petrol
• 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol
• Possible diesel engine option on ICE variant
The Tata Sierra EV will feature a closed-off grille, flush door handles and EV-specific design trims. Battery and motor specifications will be revealed closer to launch, but it is expected to share architecture with Tata’s Gen-2 electric platform.
The Tata Sierra is expected to enter production in 2025, with the launch likely scheduled for late 2025 or early 2026. It will compete in the premium mid-size SUV category and target buyers looking for a stylish, tech-rich SUV with strong nostalgia value.
With a distinctive design, triple-screen cabin and dual powertrain strategy, the new Sierra is positioned to become one of Tata’s most important lifestyle SUVs.
