
India Yamaha Motor has announced special anniversary pricing on its flagship Yamaha R15 series as part of the brand’s global 70th Anniversary celebrations. Effective from 5 January, Yamaha is offering a limited-period price benefit of ₹5,000 on select R15 variants, making its popular sport motorcycle range more accessible to Indian enthusiasts.
With this anniversary offer, the Yamaha R15 series now starts at ₹1,50,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The move underlines Yamaha’s continued focus on strengthening its presence in the premium entry-level performance motorcycle segment while rewarding customers during this milestone year.
Since its debut, the Yamaha R15 has played a pivotal role in shaping India’s entry-level supersport motorcycle category. Known for its race-inspired styling, advanced engineering and everyday usability, the R15 has earned strong acceptance among young riders across the country. The model has also crossed a significant milestone, with over one million units produced in India, highlighting Yamaha’s manufacturing strength and its deep-rooted connection with Indian motorcycling culture.
Powering the Yamaha R15 is a 155cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, featuring Yamaha’s proprietary DiASil cylinder technology for enhanced performance and durability. The motorcycle is built around the brand’s renowned Deltabox frame, which contributes to sharp handling and high-speed stability.
In terms of features, the R15 continues to set benchmarks in its segment. It comes equipped with advanced technologies such as Traction Control System, Assist and Slipper Clutch, Quick Shifter on select variants, Upside-Down front forks, and a Linked-Type Monocross rear suspension. These features, combined with its aggressive, track-inspired design and unmistakable racing DNA, make the R15 one of the most aspirational sport motorcycles in the Indian market.
