Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the Indian arm of global commercial vehicle giant Daimler Truck AG, has strengthened its presence in Uttar Pradesh by inaugurating three new BharatBenz service workshops across the Bundelkhand region. The new facilities have been launched in partnership with PPS Trucking and are located at Jhansi, Kabrai, and Chitrakoot.

With this expansion, BharatBenz aims to improve service reach, vehicle uptime, and spare parts availability for truck operators working in one of Uttar Pradesh’s busiest mining and infrastructure corridors.

The newly opened workshops together add more than 1.1 lakh sq. ft. of service infrastructure and feature 18 fully-equipped service bays capable of handling around 7,500 vehicles annually.

The largest among the three is the Jhansi workshop, spread across 40,000 sq. ft. with 8 service bays. Located on NH-27 along the Kanpur–Jhansi highway, the facility will cater to trucks operating between Kanpur, Banda, Gwalior, and nearby mining regions.

The Kabrai facility in Mahoba district spans 60,000 sq. ft. with 7 service bays and is strategically positioned on NH-34, a major route connected to Kabrai’s stone mining belt — one of the state’s busiest truck loading hubs.

Meanwhile, the Chitrakoot workshop at Bharatkoop includes 3 service bays and will support fleets operating in the Chitrakoot and Karvi mining regions as well as vehicles moving towards Prayagraj from Madhya Pradesh’s Satna and Rewa areas.

According to DICV, all three service centers are equipped with advanced diagnostic systems, modern tools, and genuine BharatBenz spare parts inventory. The network will also provide 24×7 roadside assistance supported by five mobile service vans to ensure faster on-road support during breakdowns.

Speaking on the expansion, Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & Chief Business Officer at DICV, said the company is focusing on bringing world-class support infrastructure directly to high-demand trucking corridors.

He highlighted that in mining and infrastructure regions like Bundelkhand, reduced downtime and faster service turnaround are critical for fleet profitability and operational efficiency.

Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director of PPS Trucking, added that the partnership with BharatBenz is aimed at offering faster and customer-focused support while improving truck uptime for operators across the region.

Apart from service and repair operations, the workshops have also been designed with dedicated driver rest areas and customer-friendly facilities. A team of 64 trained technicians will manage operations across the three locations.

The Bundelkhand region is known for its rich reserves of granite, sandstone, limestone, and bauxite, making it one of North India’s most important heavy trucking corridors for construction and mining-related logistics.

With this latest expansion, BharatBenz is looking to further strengthen its after-sales ecosystem and reinforce its position in India’s growing commercial vehicle market.
