Royal Enfield gears up to unveil the eagerly anticipated Guerrilla 450, set to conquer both Indian and international roads.
The upcoming Guerrilla 450 will feature Royal Enfield’s latest powerhouse: the acclaimed 450cc Sherpa engine, also found in the all-new Himalayan.
Inherited from the Himalayan, the 450cc Sherpa engine boasts 40 hp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm, coupled with a smooth 6-speed gearbox.
Royal Enfield introduces the Guerrilla 450 in two distinct flavors: a top-end variant featuring a full-colour TFT screen and dual-tone paint scheme akin to the Himalayan 450, and another variant equipped with a semi-digital cluster, Tripper turn-by-turn integration from the Meteor 350, and a sleek single-tone paint finish.
The Guerrilla 450 will feature 17-inch alloy wheels, block-pattern tires, telescopic front forks, and a single-piece seat. Utilizing components and performance cues from the Himalayan, it incorporates a 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine delivering 40bhp of power. Expectedly, the gear ratios will be tuned for urban versatility. The Guerrilla will shed weight for enhanced agility and performance.
The Guerrilla showcases a circular LED headlight and an off-centred circular instrument cluster, likely featuring the same TFT screen with navigation as the Himalayan. It boasts a robust fuel tank and a single-piece seat, with a noticeable reduction in seat height to accommodate shorter riders more comfortably. The suspension setup has been revamped, featuring ordinary upright gaitered telescopic forks instead of the upside-down forks of the Himalayan.
Notably, both front and rear wheels sport 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres, a departure from the Himalayan’s 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tyre combination. While the Himalayan still lacks tubeless wired rim tyres in India, the Guerrilla will come equipped with factory-fitted tubeless tyres on its alloy wheels.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is anticipated to debut in India by July 2024, with an estimated price range of ₹2,40,000 to ₹2,60,000. Comparable models currently available include the Triumph Speed 400, Keeway K300 N, and Honda CB300R.
